Buying your next home is an exciting endeavor.
Whether you are a first-time homebuyer or you regularly invest in real estate I am here to guide you every step of the way. Here are a few necessary steps that I believe will ease the potential stress of your next real estate transaction!
FINANCES
First things first, you should determine what you can afford. There is no point in looking at your dream properties only to find they are unrealistic for you financially, that will only lead to heartbreak.
I can walk you through the steps of determining how much you can afford, and I have many mortgage professionals that I work with that can get you right on track.
NEEDS, WANTS & NON-NEGOTIABLES
Take some time to sit down and write a list of what you want in a home, what you need in a home and what you absolutely can’t live without. Next think about what areas of the city you want to live in, think about your lifestyle and what communities fit within that lifestyle.
I know this city extremely well, and can offer some tips for what communities I think will work for what you are looking for.

BEGIN VIEWING PROPERTIES
Let’s start the fun part, getting out and looking at properties! We will start off broadly and with a lot of options, this will give us a chance to get to know your style. Once we have this down we can start narrowing down properties.
Keep in mind that there is no magic number of properties that you should look at, sometimes the first house you see is the one, and sometimes it’s the eighty-fifth house you see.
WRITING AN OFFER
This is where my expertise really comes into play, it is my job and duty to make sure you do not overpay for your home. I will use my knowledge and will research the property that interests you and will make sure the offer you submit is for fair market value, and a price that you are comfortable with.

CONDITIONS
Once you find your forever home and are ready to write an offer, I will help you decide what conditions you want to write into your offer. Most people are aware of the common financing and property inspection conditions, however there are many others that may be necessary in your purchase. I will use my knowledge and guide you through determining if there are further conditions that should be included.
CLOSING
You did it, you bought a home! Don’t worry, I won’t abandon you once conditions have been waived. I will continue to walk you through the steps of closing up until the keys are turned over and in your possession.
